What I’m up to

Posted by jbalaco on July 11, 2008

So working this afternoon on EW stuff and need to take a break – having a hard time staying focused (probably due to large amounts of sugar and caffeine consumed today!) But, I’m going to get through the first half of this issue.

Last night I got my haircut – I love it! It looks great and smells like Bb, my fav hair products. Tonight I’m going to watch The Wizard of Oz at one of the piers along the Hudson River. It should be quite lovely, although it’ll probably be much smaller than the Bryant Park movies. Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny and warm and I’m thinking that after shopping at the market, I’m going to the park and relaxing all day. Maybe I’ll finally finish Lolita too. I have been reading it since May. Every time I start to get back into it, something comes up that I have to set it aside. And I am really excited because on Monday I’m going to stand outside the premiere of Dark Knight. It’s probably pretty dorky to admit, but where else can you do something like that?!

I was originally going to write about 2 things. The first is the pretzel boy. My father was asking and I want to make sure there is no mistake – I was just appreciating a cute boy (exclusive circle note that there are many!) and nothing more. I simply mentioned it to help entice my exclusive circle of friends to come and visit (which has partially worked).

And the other is something I’m v. proud of – I have been “running” consistently several times a week. I put it in quotes because I think I only end up jogging (maybe a better descriptor that running) about 1/3 of the time and the rest I walk and people-watch, and it is fine people-watching! Even though I don’t go fast or far, it is an accomplishment since I hadn’t exercised in about a year before this summer! It makes my heart happy :)

Well, I’m sure I could ramble longer but I guess I should actually get back to work so that I reach my goal so that I can go to the movie. Until next time. . .
